Former UK basketball player Michael Porter is pleading not guilty to sexual abuse of a minor.  Court records show he's been charged with multiple counts connected to encounters with a young girl he met through church.  He last played for the Wildcats in 2009.  He was taken into custody early yesterday.

Poker Run

The Bluegrass Military Affairs Coalition Armed Forces Day Motorcycle Poker Run will be Sat. May 19.  Registration is 10-11:45 a.m. at Harley Davidson Man O' War on Bryant Road in Lexington.  Kickstands up at noon and the run will end at Northeast Christian Church on Star Shoot Parkway.  Fees are $15 for a single rider, $20 for double.  The day will end with a free Family Fun Fair at Northeast Christian starting at 3 p.m.

Southland Cleanup

This cleanup along Southland Drive will be June 9 from 8-11 a.m.  Donut Days and Good Foods Market & Cafe will provide breakfast and volunteers can sign up to win gift certificates from local businesses.  Volunteers will install storm drain markers and pick up litter along Southland Dr.  Info:  278-1813.
